Successful Corporate Breakfast Events

When arranging for an event at any of the corporate event venues, be sure to know what the latest trends in functions are before you just go and arrange a finger meal. Breakfasts are becoming a most popular type of event, function or get together as it can be formal or informal but very quaint and the variety of breakfast foods that could be served are never-ending.

This is why a breakfast function is soon becoming one of the more popular types for a corporate conference. They have also been proven to be the best attended and most successful when they are held during office hours. Breakfast functions can be used for a variety of causes such as seminars, general meetings, product launches, birthday parties, farewell parties, retirement parties, weddings, kitchen teas and baby showers.

Although it is assumed that breakfast is in the morning, the actual time of the breakfast meeting will play a very important role in the success of it. It needs to be early enough so that the attendees will not be starving and have to eat before the time and it needs to be late enough so that they do not have to wake up earlier than their normal time. The generally accepted time for breakfast is to start between 08h30 and 09h00.

The preferred decor would be neutral, airy and lighthearted. Whites, creams, silver and a touch of pink will be perfect colors for a breakfast function. As it will be more suited outdoors, fairy lights will round the picture off perfectly. Silver cutlery and clear glass or crystal will give a clean and crisp look to the table.

The menu for a breakfast function will be foods that are not oily but nice and light with plenty of fresh foods like fruits, joghurts, preserves and pates. Keep in mind that the dietary needs of some of the attendees could be halaal, kosher or vegetarian so bacon and eggs will not do it for all.
It is best to have a variety of foods in separate dishes that can be dished up by the attendees themselves. Remember that, even though this is breakfast there will be nothing wrong with having scones and muffins presented as well. Foods like eggs, bacon, sausages, tomato, mushrooms, breads, cereals, yoghurts, fruit salad, smoothies and of course sweet things like croissants, muffins, flapjacks and scones.

You could always have cakes and tarts there too if you feel the need but generally no other sweet things are served except for the preserves and jams that accompany the croissants, scones and muffins. Coffee and tea as well as iced water should flow freely of course.

If you breakfast is during corporate hours, be sure not to keep them longer than about an hour as they still have the rest of the workday ahead. If there are any presentations or speeches, make sure to keep them short but powerful and to the point.

These will be the basics to follow if you would like a successful breakfast event and the start of something exciting.
