Subliminal messages and mind power

Is there really such a thing as subliminal messages and do some companies do subliminal advertising? The answer to both questions is yes.

Don’t be fooled by people who quote the guy who said he sold more popcorn and coke at the movies tho. People continually cite James Vicary and the movie theater when discussing subliminals or stating how effective they are.

Vicary admitted the whole thing was a hoax a couple of years later. Does this mean subliminals don’t work? Nope, just means he lied about it.

During WW2 the armed forces trained troops with a device called a tachistoscope, which can show pictures in the thousandth of a second range was use to train troops and pilots to recognize enemy airplanes. The technique was very effective.

Here’s the dictionary definition of subliminal.

sub?lim?i?nal adjective Psychology. existing or operating below the threshold of consciousness; being or employing stimuli insufficiently intense to produce a discrete sensation but often being or designed to be intense enough to influence the mental processes or the behavior of the individual: a subliminal stimulus; subliminal advertising.

If you could learn to use just another two percent of your mind power or your mind you could possibly be as smart as a person with an IQ of 144. That’s above genius level and would put you into the top two percent of the nation if not higher.

Don’t make the mistake of saying that two percent of 120 is 2.4. Remember this is based on using 100% of your mental power. If you are only using ten percent and have an IQ of 120 then if you could use 100% you might have an IQ of 1200. Two percent of 1200 is 24 and that’s why the change seems so major.

It not only seems major, it is a major leap in using your mind. Now imagine if you could raise the amount of your brain power by five percent. That would make you one of the greatest minds since time began.

Is that even possible? I don’t know why it wouldn’t be. There is a school of scientific thought that says if the mind can conceive it the mind can achieve it. I believe that and so should you.
