You Get to Decide This

Here is good news about your success. You get to decide what events mean.

Suppose you screw up. What new possibilities emerge as you decide that what some might call “failure,” you decide is evidence of a poor plan, lack of know-how, or a “bad hair day” on your part?

This is the essence of the following Tony Robbins quote:

It’s not the events of our lives that shape us, but our beliefs as to what those events mean.

Failure is nature’s plan to prepare you for great responsibilities.

So the next time you screw up, accept it as preparation for bigger and better things. Then think and act as if this is true.
